It may not seem like it with the crazy weather here in the Twin Ports, but it is indeed May on the calendar! Perhaps this year we’ll go directly from winter to summer without Spring. Even though Duluth and Superior are the 4-Season place for fun and more, we may have to settle for just three this year.

But regardless, there is always much to do. Right now everyone is gearing up with planting so head on over to your favorite greenhouse and see what’s growing on over there. Get outside and see the buds on the trees and take advantage of the green savings at all of the Twin Ports businesses shown right here at Twin Ports Life.

 

We’re still looking for writers and can always use more advertisers to continue funding this website. March is Here in the Twin Ports

Welcome to March in the Twin Ports!

It’s a great time of year as we say goodbye to a great winter with a fair amount of snow for those who like to play in it (intentionally; not with your car, if you know what I mean), and we can soon say “hello” to spring.

In March, we’ll all “spring ahead” on Sunday the 10^th as daylight savings time begins. And Easter arrives early this year. It’s Sunday the 31^st which is two Sundays after St. Patrick’s Day.

This month is full of birthday celebrations that include some
famous people like our USA presidents and others. This month
happens to be a favorite of mine because today, being the first,
my youngest granddaughter celebrates her first year in this
world! Later this month, her Grandpa “T” celebrates his … well,
we won’t go there. We’ll just say that I’m not as old as George
Washington or Abraham Lincoln! Dictionary.com defines
“famous” as having a widespread reputation, usually of a
favorable nature; renowned; and celebrated.

Bentleyville Shines Brighter.

Bentleyville shines brighter this year as attendees bring a non perishable food item and/or unwrapped toys for others. Also, the sponsors go "all out" in bringing this event to everyone "free of charge"!

I don’t know about you but as a kid, everything seemed bigger, and the lights seemed “brighter” at Christmas. Highlighting TWIN PORTS LIFE DOT COM Advertiser: Poplar Auto

I'm pleased to see that Poplar Auto is advertising in Twin Ports Life DOT Com. 

I've known the owners for a very long time as they've continually ordered imprinted promotional products from me throughout the years such as advertising calendars, pens etc. I remember years ago when I had to handwrite all the orders and my capital “L” looked like a capital “C” so when they got their pens, instead of the imprint being: POPLAR AUTO, it was “POPCAR AUTO”. Because they had given so many away before noticing the error, and having many people saving the pens because they thought that it would be a “keepsake” someday they didn’t make me redo the order. I’m thinking that they are just great people.

That’s probably why they’ve been in business now for over 25 years! Wow, that is a milestone. I know they do great work too. Poplar is not far from the Twin Ports and I know many people who live in Poplar and work in Superior or Duluth so when you need collision repair enjoy a short drive and get the work done there.
